Retirement After Nearly 29 Years

Paul Astle, Sherwood’s Key Account Manager, based at our Derbyshire site has retired after nearly 29 years’ service.

Paul started work at Sherwood in 1986. The company was then Sherwood DAF and Paul joined as a Sales Executive selling DAF products in the Derbyshire area.

Paul progressed to Sales Manager about a year later, becoming Group Sales Manager as the company further expanded into the Nottingham, Sheffield and Stoke areas.

A move to the role of Key Account Manager allowed Paul to focus on our major fleet customers; Carlsberg, DHL, TNT and Lafarge to name a few.

During his career Paul has won many industry awards including the Top Sales Award for IVECO in 2005 and again in 2006.

Paul commented “I’ve had a great career at Sherwood.  I’ve made many friends, not only with colleagues but also with customers.  I hope to remain in touch with my friends and work colleagues in the future”.

We would like to wish Paul a long and happy retirement.
