Partscomm Sponsor British Truck Racing Association Team Reid Freight

Commercial vehicle parts supplier Partscomm has announced it is to sponsor British Truck Racing Association (BTRA) team Reid Freight. 

Simon Reid, of family-run Reid Freight, which is a Staffordshire-based transport and haulage company, has raced since 2013 and won Division Two of the BTRA within two years. 

He now races the number 89 custom-built Iveco Stralis 13000 truck, which has already had its first outing in the all-new livery at Pembrey in May. 

Partscomm managing director Robert Spittle said: “The sponsorship is more than just money; it is the opportunity to be involved in a team and to enjoy the thrill of racing.”

Reid Freights driver Simon Reid welcomed the partnership, saying: “It is obviously early days but we are excited about having Partscomm on board. The Partscomm livery was showcased at Pembrey and will be visible at all the other races. 

“Partscomm will be providing parts to our trucks throughout the year, their technical knowledge and industry expertise is valuable to our team.” 

Simon Reid and number 89 Iveco truck will next race at Thruxton on 29-30 June alongside some of the top truck racing drivers.
